GumaTask — Local Services Marketplace for Guam
GumaTask is a digital marketplace platform created specifically for the island of Guam, connecting customers with local service providers. The solution is designed with a strong focus on mobile experience, security, and seamless interaction between all parties.
The platform includes two dedicated mobile applications:
a Customer app, and
a Tasker app for service providers.
Both applications are built as cross-platform solutions, delivering the same functionality and user experience on Android and iOS.
At the current stage, service providers can list their services directly through the app, while customers can browse, book, and pay for services online. The payment system is fully integrated, with the platform acting as a trusted intermediary: funds are securely held and released to the service provider only after the customer confirms that the work has been completed satisfactorily.
From a technical standpoint, GumaTask is developed with scalability and future growth in mind. The system includes user authentication, service and order management, role-based access, and reliable payment workflows.
Further enhancements are already planned. In upcoming releases, customers will be able to post job requests, describing the work they need done, while taskers will be able to submit their proposals and compete for projects. This will introduce a more flexible and dynamic interaction model across the platform.
